Gestures are a series of performances to camera using YouTube videos as a backdrop where things are seemingly blown off course.

Performance documentation using a hairdryer pointed at a video screen to mimic the wind conditions that force aeroplanes to perform ‘go-arounds’, where they abort landing due to windy conditions.
The tension inherent in a go-around is undercut, overegged, and blown off course by the attempt to mimic the actions of planes buffeted in winds as if it is caused by the special effect of a hairdryer.
Other short pieces in the series include The Perilous Leap (after Marinneti), It is Better to Travel than to Arrive (after Stevenson) and what started out as a test piece, False Flag.
